A relaxing me time

Scampering around the house, preparing breakfast, taking care of the kids and husband, doing the chores, washing the clothes, preparing meal, and not getting a single leave, this is the story of every woman in every household. Not that man doesn’t get tired and stressed out but they relieve their stress by watching TV or going out with friends. But women hardly get time for such things and so the stress level increases resulting in early aging, tiredness which makes them insipid and indolent. Every time we feel stressed and exhausted, we just assure self that this is ephemeral and from tomorrow, I will be fresh as a daisy. But the fact of the matter is, in order to come back to normal or to at least relieve the stress, one need a quality time, and for a woman, that “Me time” lacks. She keeps postponing things that mattered the most to her ones. Family and kids become her priority and to take every possible care of them, she forgets or rather just stops taking care of self.

But a lot has changed with time. These days women prefer to stay busy with things which they love to bust their stress. Now what does a relaxing time mean to you? It can be anything from just having a morning coffee sitting at the balcony watching the chirping birds to performing Yoga.

Having said that, I have a long list of things to bust my stress, but I fail to do so due to the preoccupations at home. But I always wish to have some relaxing time alone. Having said that, all you need to do is give yourself just 15 mins from your busy schedule and you will feel rejuvenated the whole day. Let me point out some ideas:

  1. Morning time: As Already mentioned, I love having a hot cup of coffee early in the morning, enjoying every sip, sitting on the balcony, gazing the nature, or listening to the birds chirping or just listening to some soft music. It is so soothing and relaxing that it makes your day. Or you can just give 15 mins of time, taking care of your body, like Jogging, or Yoga or any other exercise for that matter. Exercise makes you healthy and it keeps you fresh the whole day. And whenever you feel stressed, just close your eyes and take a deep breath and meditate for 10 minutes. This Quick meditation is like a quick dose of painkiller, it subsides the pain instantly, and likewise, meditation heels your soul from indie instantly, keeping you away from stress.
  2. Take care of yourself: Sometimes just spending some time in a spa and get yourself a relaxing massage helps you get away from the stress and the daylong exertion. This is another best way to relax and give you a royal spa treatment at the same time.
  3. Shopping: For a woman, shopping is another way to relax and so going out shopping with friends or family helps get away from all the tensions. Going alone is another way to spend some lone time without anybody’s interference.
  4. Do what you love: Doing what you love without any inhibitions keeps you stress free. It can be anything from gardening to dancing, to learning music, to cooking. A perfect way to get rid of stress is to do whatever you love to do.


In a nutshell, all you need is a little time from your busy schedule to get a relaxing me time whenever and wherever possible.
